WELCOME BG

Welcome BG (WBG) is an initiative of inclusion that recognizes differences between people and acknowledges this diversity as a valued asset. Welcome BG believes diversity and inclusion are a critical starting point for building respect and engagement across sometimes isolated and fragmented communities. Diversity takes into account but is not limited to race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, language, age, ethnicity, ability, physical and mental health status, sex, socioeconomic status and national origin.

Our History

Welcome BG was a result of passed resolution 3662 by The City of Bowling Green's city council proclaiming Bowling Green as a welcoming and safe community for immigrants and condemning any discrimination, harassment or unjustified deportation of immigrant residents of Bowling Green. The resolution is available in 9 languages.

Welcome BG was officially launched in September 2019.
